As a trainer, I wanted to motivate my clients so for the first time I took part in the TT competition as well.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole process, working out 3-4x per week, eating hamburgers and ice cream multiple times weekly. I'm a big proponent of IF and I have my set of strategies that I use with my clients but it;s not always easy to use it myself as well. I was not out of shape or obese but I knew I could do better. So I did.
If you can set your mind on a goal then it becomes much less difficult to achieve it and you can even learn to enjoy the process like I do.
Taking the slow and steady approach was right for me, I didn't lose a ton of weight but I feel much better and stronger, too. Being a role model for my clients is of utmost importance to me.
Nowadays I can squat 440, bench 300 and deadlift 500lbs @175lbs so my main goal is to keep the weight down and become even more powerful.
Mixing 5/3/1 and Turbulence Training Metabolic Workouts seemed to do the trick for me since my endurance increased as well while shedding some fat.
Thanks Craig for the opportunity and creating TT! Keep up the good work everyone :)
