My journey originally started off as a quest for weight loss, but it turned out to be much more than simply weight loss. Prior to joining Lesa at Lakeside Fitness Fit Body Bootcamp, I was a member of a local 24 hour gym. I worked out initially, but didn't like the repetitious, mundane workouts on the treadmill, elliptical machinesĀ and the various other machines.
I knew I needed to do something when I became winded, by simply running up my basement stairs. I am a nurse and see people younger and younger that are in failing health.
My parents and grandparents both have Diabetes and I knew I didn't want to go down that road. Lakeside Fitness Fit Body Boot Camp is fun, challenging and always different. The workouts are designed for all fitness levels. The personal trainers always offer support and encouragement. They listen to your needs and are always upbeat.
It's a positive, feel good place to go to. The personal trainers offer support outside of the gym as well. They are our cheerleaders by offering motivational sayings and teach us nutritional fundamentals.
They have changed my attitude about exercising. It's become a place that I look forward to going to! Thank you Lesa, John, Mary and Liz!
There were many other important changes as well. Since joining Lakeside Fitness Fit Body Boot Camp in February, I was taken off my blood pressure medication after losing 31 lbs.
I feel more energetic, I have increased endurance and confidence andĀ more of a positive attitude. I ran my first 5 K in June and ran MOST of the way! This journey was more about making lasting lifestyle changes and losing weight was just the icing on the cake!
