When you’re enjoying what you’re doing, workouts seem less like ‘work’ and more like ‘fun’. This is what I discovered from the Turbulence Training “Body Sculpting for Women” and “Booty for Wife” programs.
At 44 years of age (how did that happen??) I was the heaviest I had ever been since I harbored an almost 9 pound human in my body over 21 years ago. While I wasn’t feeling horrible about myself and my weight, I knew that I could do better for myself. Years of socializing over nachos, hot wings and beer had taken their toll. I could remember back when I was thirty, fit and trim and feeling fabulous, but didn’t think that I would ever be there again. The jeans I had kept to torment myself hung sadly in the back of my closet.
Then one day, my BFF since 1978, Shelley Turk, mentioned the Turbulence Training workouts and contest to me. After a bit of research, I thought to myself, “I can do this!”. I turned to Shelley, a promising aspiring TT Trainer, and she gladly got me started on my TT program.
With Shelley’s advice, I read “Eat Stop Eat” and “Fat Loss Jumpstart” in order to get a handle on some healthier eating habits. I made myself snack sized baggies of fruits, vegetables (love those orange bell peppers!) and cooked chicken breast.
Each night, I put the appropriate number of baggies in my lunch bag for work, along with a few extra veggies. For the first month, I stuck to these servings for supper as well, before I allowed myself to eat with the family, just watching my portion sizes. Along the way, Shelley and my husband provided me with tons of support and encouragement. Soon I was seeing fabulous results literally every day! Combine this with the satisfaction I feel each time I finish one of the TT workouts and I have the motivation to keep on going.
My fat loss journey is not complete yet, but I know that I have learned the habits to continue to be successful for a long time to come. I am just starting the 24/7 Fat Loss Program and have set my goal at a 15 pound loss. I now feel confident in myself knowing that I can achieve the goals I set for myself. Thanks Shelley, and thanks Craig I can fit those jeans again!
