Ok here goes, where do I start, I guess some background information on me, I am 45 yr old woman, married with 2 young children and I work. I have always
battled with my weight but prior to children I was pretty fit, worked out
regularly and managed to control my weight. But that was before children,
when I had more free time and just me to think about.
Now I needed something that would fit around my family and limited time
available to train. I first came across TT when I googled interval
training.
I have to admit initially I was skepitcal that anything could give such
great results and for a while I just watched from the sidelines. I
downloaded a couple of workouts that were free to trial TT, after all I was
not going to pay any money until I had checked this out!
I downloaded the 4 week body weight programme and I loved it, absolutely
loved it. After reading more of Craig?s write ups and the Dark side of
Cardio, I decided to take the plunge and pay for the whole TT programme.
Craig was offering the TT Fatloss Manual for half price and I can tell you
that this was the best $30 (NZ dollars) I have spent.
When I downloaded the manual I could not believe that you got so much for
your money, so many workouts so much information, and so many other reports
and advice. Not only that but you also got access to the forum for 3 months
and everything that had to offer.
I started to work my way through the TT manual and joined the forum. I
discovered the TT contest and signed up for TT contest #8. However about 4
weeks into the contest, things went pear shaped with ill health, asthma, son
requiring surgery and a whole heap of other stuff that just got in the
way. I managed to keep on with the workouts in a slow steady pace but I
dropped out of the contest.
So when Craig announced #9, I knew I had to go for it again, after all Craig
always says, Don?t Give up!!
This time round I was ready, I became actively involved in the forum, I made
weekly goals and I posted my nutrition and workouts on the forum. I started
off really well and within 3 weeks had lost 7lb, but then I hit a wall.
My weight loss just stopped, for 2 weeks I had no loss at all, I hit a
plateau and began to feel very frustrated, despondent and disillusioned. I
posted my frustration on the forum and received the most amazing support not
only from my fellow #9 contestants, but also from other TT members and of
course Craig.
How Craig finds the time to respond to so many posts and help out so many
people is beyond me, but I am so grateful that he did. He reassured me that
I was on the right track and to keep on doing what I was doing.
This support from Craig and the other TTers spurred me on and convinced me
to keep going. After all I wasn?t going to reach my goals if I just gave
up.
So I grit my teeth, dug keep and tracked all my food/exercise, adopted a
positive attitude and guess what, next time I got on the scales I had lost
2.5lb. Without the support from the TT forum and Craig, I would have given
up, I am so pleased I didn?t.
I would encourage anyone to join the TT forum no matter what question you
raise you know that someone will help out. It?s an invaluable resource.
Nutrition was always going to be the hardest part for me, but over the last
6 weeks although my nutrition has not been 100% I have learnt so much. I
now read food labels as to what is in food, and know what brand of tuna to
buy. I have tried new foods like spelt bread and I love it.
Without using the forum I would not have even heard of some of these foods,
it really has been an education. I don?t feel like I have missed out on
anything and have still been able to enjoy treat meals out with the family.
I just make sure that I get right back to tracking the next day.
During the last 6 weeks I have used TTK5 and TTK6, both fantastic workouts,
really get you working hard and getting results immediately. Going into the
gym armed with my TT workout makes me feel empowered as I know I am going to
have a fantastic workout, work hard every second I am in there and come out
feeling on top of the world, even if a bit whacked!
The TT workouts are just the best workouts ever, they are sharp, short and
super effective. After hearing me raving on about them for so long, my
husband decided to give them a go and he?s been converted too! He has been
super impressed with his own and my results so now there is another TT
addict in the house!
I would urge anyone who is sitting on the sidelines like I was, to take the
plunge, get the TT fat loss manual, join the forum and join the fun and the
results that TT will give you.
Over the last 6 weeks, I have lost 10lbs, lost 3.5% body fat and lost inches
off my waist, hips and everywhere. Ok I still don?t have the bikini body I
long for, but I am on my way and fully intend to keep going with TT to get
me there.
Here are my starting and 6 weeks stats ? be prepared to be amazed!!
Day 1 Day 42 Loss
Weight 141.2 lbs 131 lbs 10.2lbs
Waist: 33.5? 31.5 2 inches
Abdomen 38.5 37.5 1 inches
Hips: 40? 38.5 1.5 inches
Body Fat: 31.6% 28.1% 3.5%
Joining the forum has been invaluable, it gives you the support you need
when the going gets tough. In addition ot the workouts I needed to fix my
nutrition. The Forum gives you all the information , help and advice you
need.
