Hi, my name is Philip Stephenson!
I was at the point in my life, that I had to do something. I have tried on my own but, realized I was getting no where. I decided to hire a trainer, Mike Whitfield (certified turbulence trainer) to get me in shape.
My health was declining. My feet, knees and lower back hurt all the time. In March of 2011 I went for a physical and my Cholesterol was 219, Good Cholesterol was 34, and Blood Pressure was 141/95. Because my Father had a stroke in December 2010 The Doctor told me, “I was on my way to having a stroke myself.
That was my turning point. I tried on my own for a couple of months. Thought I knew how to work out, so I did the bike, elliptical and tread mill. Nothing was working for me. So I decided to hire a trainer at the gym I sporadically attended. Mike really changed up my vision of a work out.
I am now able to do a lot more in the last 3 months. We meet with him once a month to go over our new exercises (which keep growing and getting harder) they are challenging but well worth it. Not only do I have more energy. I have more stamina and strength. My legs, feet and lower back have stopped hurting except for an occasional dose of a new exercise.
My new report from the doctor recently was my cholesterol is 169 and if I lose 15 more pounds (which I will) I can come off of my cholesterol medicine. My good cholesterol was 41 and blood pressure was 120/80. The doctor was impressed. I have also gone down from a 3X to a 2X and my pant size has dropped 2 sizes.
I can see myself continuing this program. It works for me and I like how I feel and look.
