This transformation contest has been amazing for me. It has kept me on track to reach a new level of health and fitness. I attribute my success to personal strength, a set of outstanding exercise programs (TT), commitment to improving my nutrition, and the friends I’ve made on the message boards.

I’ve had my ups and downs throughout the contest. As most people, I’ve had to deal with illness, family dramas, and a generally busy work/family life. Being a part of this contest has kept me on track because I had a mission. My mission was to give this contest everything I had and see where it could take me. So whenever I got a little sidetracked, I just refocused on my mission and the progress I was making.

I’ve become a new person as a result. There is no doubt in my mind or my family and friend’s minds that being fit and healthy is a priority of mine.

There is a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson that I picked up on the Precision Nutrition site (see below).

“What you're doing speaks so loudly I cannot hear what you are saying.”

This quote has so much meaning to me that I come back to it constantly. I AM HEALTHY AND FIT and my actions say this loud and clear.

1. I do not miss a workout. On the rare occasion that I can’t do it on the scheduled day or time, I find another time to do it.

2. When friends/relatives come to town, I ask them to join me for a workout. I then go to bed at a decent hour so I can get a good night’s sleep beforehand.

3. When possible, I include my kids in my workouts. They have their own exercise mats and dumbbells. On off days, I take them out in the bike trailer for intervals.

4. I use Precision Nutrition for education and guidance on healthy eating. I have found success with Precision Nutrition because I have a simple set of guidelines as well as the knowledge behind the guidelines.

Ultimately I have developed healthy workout and nutrition habits that have become a part of my life.

For this contest my workouts included:
1. TT for Buff Dudes and Hot Chicks – 4 weeks
2. TT 2K9 – 4 weeks
3. TT March Madness Circuit Workous – 4 weeks

I lost 5 pounds and most importantly, went from 19.8% to 16.5% body fat. My clothes a falling off and I LOVE IT!
