I was encouraged to start the 12 week challenge, At the beginning of the challenge my goal was to continue my journey of losing weight and firming up.
I was just coming back from being away from the gym most of the summer because I had knee surgery. My experience with Turbulence training started in March when I joined Stretch Fitness.
Corey introduced me to TT and set me up doing it as my program. In March when I started the gym I was recovering from whiplash and just found out I was going to needed knee surgery.
My goal was to get healthy by changing my eating habits and working out. Knowing that I was going to have a knee operation.
In September when I returned I was eager to start off slow with my knees and continue to do upperbody exercises. At that time I had lost about 40 lbs so my goal was to lose another 10 lbs. Corey set up a program doing the upperbody of the TT exercises and some simple lower body exercises.
Unfortunately after starting back for a bit and realizing my knee was not healing I was recommended to stop doing lower body exercises. I was determined that this was not going to stop me.
I continued to work out doing the sets of various upperbody. I enjoyed reading the tips for the day and changed up some of the exercises I was doing. Along with the exercises. I joined SFL for 6 weeks to get some ideas of different meal ideas and make myself accountable.
I am thankful for answers to prayers for finding a healthy avenue to work out stress but also seeing improvements in my health overall.
Over the last twelve weeks I have learned not to allow my knee surgery to stop my fitness workouts. I could still go and continue with the upperbody exercises, some abs and physio exercises.
Me to enjoy the slam balls and kettle bells . It is so neat to see where I have come from. From one point wondering if I could do it to enjoying it and working out most days. In so many ways this year I have been able to get my smile back on.
Thanks TT for training and you daily encouragements. Foe me I reached my goal of losing another 10 lbs and getting stronger after being away for two months.
Sincerely,
Sherla
