About 8 years ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. It changed my life in many bad ways. I was so tired all the time, and it seemed as if I gained weight from just breathing. My husband said I was snoring and would stop breathing at night. Last summer, I changed doctors, and it seemed like we were finally getting my thyroid under control, but by then I was heavier than I had ever been even when pregnant. I saw pictures of myself at a summer workshop, and I was shocked at how big I had become. I decided to start doing something, anything, and started walking every morning.
I managed to lose a couple pounds, but I knew if I wanted to really change, I had to do more. I hired a trainer, Rachel Plonsky, last December, and it has been the best decision I ever made! After working with her for nearly a year, it has gotten a bit harder to lose weight, so she suggested trying the TT contest to help move me along.
Using the TT workouts has given me that extra boost in the past 12 weeks. I have lost 10.2 pounds and 11inches! I have not only gotten to where I fit in my “skinny clothes”, I have passed many of them by. I like how the workouts are challenging but not impossible, and I love that it’s not the same thing over and over like when I did those aerobics tapes back in the 80s and 90s. What I mostly love is being stronger and healthier than I have been in years. When I started working with Rachel, I told her I would do anything that works, and TT definitely works!
