I began Turbulence Training with Ali Fox just to get myself moving again. At nearly 60 years old, with nagging pain from injury, I quietly wondered how I would go.

I was so happy to learn that the training included exercises that I can do at my own pace and at home, and was constantly surprised at the variety of workouts and everyday equipment that Ali taught us to use to test our strength and endurance.

I completed TT Home Workout Revolution Workouts as well as Turbulence Training style boot camps that we did by the beach.

Over the 12 weeks we also participated in periodic fitness testing and I was happy to gauge how much I improved in my fitness.

To be able to run "the ramp" a couple of times after a few weeks from barely being able to walk up and down once in the beginning, gave me a real sense of achievement - especially with my daughter yelling "my mum's running the ramp" to all that could hear, and then hearing all the subsequent "good on you, keep going, etc." - a huge boost.

I'm very thankful that my daughter 'dragged' me along, complaining and finding all sorts of excuses because of my perceived limitations, and although I have a long way to go on my journey to pain free health, doing Turbulence Training workouts with Ali Fox has been the best way of kick starting the changes I needed to get this old stiff body moving again.

In total I lost 10kgs (22 pounds) and 21.7 inches (6.4 inches from my chest and 5.2 inches from my waist)!

I can feel lean muscle in my legs, arms and core emerging from within this outer shell. I will continue on this journey to better health and fitness with my training buddies, turbulence training workouts and the amazing Ali Fox.
