My name is Belinda Rainwater. I just turned 43 on the 20th of November - so I would be in the over 40 category for women.
I stumbled upon this contest and I had to enter it within a couple days of coming across it because otherwise I would not have been eligible. I had already bought the TT Home Workout Revolution at the beginning of the year when I participated in the $100000 contest.
I did not win or even get honorable mention - so to speak - in the public sense - BUT it did start me going in the right direction - so from that standpoint - I did win already.
When I came across this contest back in September I was excited and ready to go - because I was able to focus on the fitness aspect of it.
First starting out - the first 4 weeks or so - I never did the optional training that came with most days - I was too winded to do the main and the optional together.
After the fourth week however I started doing the optional training as well and I noticed my endurance and my stamina increasing - much to my joy.
At about six weeks into my program my husband commented that I was really toning up nicely...that I had lost the jiggly - his words - from just a few weeks before.
At about 10 weeks in he started saying that I was losing my breasts and if I was doing to many push-ups. Speaking of push-ups - I still have trouble doing more than 22-25 plank push-ups in one go...that seems to be my plateau.
For the challenge 500 for example I still have to break it up into 2 sets of 25 - but that is up from doing sets of 10.
I believe that my most notable achievement is two-fold: one - for being over 40 I am in good shape and two - I managed even over my birthday and Thanksgiving to discipline myself to eating sensibly.
I am enjoying the benefits and the results so much - I am looking to continue feeling and looking good - and NOT blowing it. My confidence has gone up considerably.
Tomorrow a new twelve week round starts for me - and my husband is joining me - so we can feel good about ourselves and each other together. Thank you Craig Ballantyne and Turbulence Training.
Sincerely
Belinda
P.S. Merry Christmas and HAPPY HEALTHY New Year!
