“Corporate America doesn’t pay me to work out and gaining several pounds per year for 18 years left me 50 pounds heavier than when I was in the Marines. For the past 4 years I would lift weights and ride the bike at the gym. That made me strong, but I got fat, immobile, and inflexible.
I purchased Turbulence Training Home Workout Revolution for the purpose of losing weight. I went to a Chiropractor for my weightlifting injury and several of the exercises she recommended were similar to ones in the TT program. I started the beginner program prior to the contest.
During the contest I finished the beginner program and did 20/10 workouts, ladder, challenge, abs, and others. I can now do the advanced exercises and the program showed me how to work up to them without getting hurt.
The videos helped as it was easy to understand the exercises and it felt like I had my own personal trainer. I ONLY did TT workouts and never more than 1 per day. My shortest workout was 4 minutes and my longest was 21 minutes.
As a traveling Field Engineer I have been from Florida to Texas to Maryland to Georgia and several other states during the contest. Yes, I did workout in my hotel room when there was no gym. I also sold my house, bought a house, packed my house, and my family and I have been living out of our suitcases with relatives for the last 2 weeks of the contest. I was happy to lose any weight during the move and didn’t work out for 8 days while we were packing.
I never worked my legs or core in the past and TT does that very well. I now know how to improve my posture. I am still heavy, but now have confidence as I know I can lose weight. Nutrition? I did not implement that portion of the program and I did not take supplements. I do eat less bad food now and don’t do it as often, but once I get in to my own house I will use the nutrition part of the program.
My starting weight was 242 pounds and I finished at 229 pounds. My logbook is in storage/transit so I do not know my starting measurements. My biggest achievement was losing 13 pounds. I’m in the “over 40” category so as I approach the age of 50 this program will help me focus on getting rid of fat. I will lose 15 more pounds and reassess from there. No more bike, treadmill, or crunches for me.”
